The two German tourists, who were reported missing in the Polis mountain area in Librazhd, have been found safe and sound after about 27 hours of searching.
The incident has received a positive resolution after the dynamics of what had happened have been clarified.
Sources on the ground indicate that the tourists had encountered problems with their vehicle while traveling in the mountainous area. Due to the defect, they decided to abandon the vehicle and continue the journey on foot.
After walking for several kilometers, the tourists reached a road axis where they accidentally encountered a van passing through the area. They were later located near the village of Stravaj, ending the search operation.
Fortunately, both tourists were found in good health, while authorities have closed the search operation that had been underway in the Polis area since their disappearance was reported.
