Today is the 34th protest against Prime Minister Edi Rama, who is being asked to resign, even though the Head of Government has ruled out any possibility of handing over the "wheel", which, according to him, over 800,000 Albanians have entrusted to him in the elections of May 11, 2025.
The protest has gathered different currents, while the point that unites them is the removal of Edi Rama as Prime Minister.
A pensioner, who has joined the protest from the first days, said that Prime Minister Edi Rama mocks this group, and even insults them.
"With the bonus he gave us for the summer, Rama mocked us as always. 5 thousand lek is not even given for children. Rama needs to come to his senses," he said.
The protester continued with calls calling for an escalation of the protest and blocking roads with agricultural vehicles, as a form of pressure on the government.
"The Prime Minister should come to his senses. Not only us here in Tirana, but all the farmers who throw vegetables into the canals, should come out to block the roads of Albania with the tools they have. Because if the roads are blocked, Edi Rama has three days to live, then he will give up, because he has nothing else to do. They should come out with tractors, with the tools.
Pensioners should participate here, because he made fun of us. He took a group of pensioners a few days ago, like before May 11 when I went too, I broke up the meeting, and those pensioners were, those chickens were, that not one of them returned the word to Edi Rama, because Edi Rama is the king of Albania and they are afraid. I call on the pensioners to remove their fear and break their noses. We do not have drinking water. He has been in power for 13 years.
"Our concrete demands are that Edi Rama resign, disappear, create a group of independent intellectuals, not my age, but young. Have a couple of universities, know foreign languages and be professionals in different fields. Change the legislation," he said.
