The Police Supervision Agency published its activity report for the first half of 2026, reflecting the disciplinary measures and criminal procedures taken against employees of security structures.
According to the report, 24 employees were dismissed from the State Police from January to June. During the same period, the AMP referred 232 State Police officers and two Republican Guard employees to the Prosecutor's Office for various criminal offenses.
The report also highlights cases of arrests in flagrante delicto. During the six-month period, nine police officers, one Republican Guard officer, and one Fire and Rescue Service employee were arrested on suspicion of violating the law while performing their duties.
At the same time, AMP has administered 752 complaints submitted by citizens. After verification, 434 of them were assessed as unfounded, while for 251 complaints, insufficient evidence was provided to support the claims.
As a result of verified complaints, the Agency has registered 15 criminal proceedings, which continue to be investigated.

"The published balance sheet shows that checks on State Police officers continue with the aim of removing from uniform those who abuse their duties, while citizens remain an important link through denunciations of cases of illegality ," the AMP statement said.
