A person was injured with a shotgun on Sunday evening in the village of Vajkal, Bulqizë Municipality, after the perpetrator allegedly mistook him for a wild animal.
The incident occurred at around 23:00 in an agricultural area of the village. According to preliminary information, the perpetrator fired a shotgun, suspecting that wild animals were damaging the crops in the cultivated land. Only after the shooting did he realize that he had wounded a person.
The injured man was urgently transported to Bulqiza Hospital, where he received first aid. Hospital sources indicate that his life is out of danger.
Immediately after the notification, the Police services arrived at the scene, carried out the first investigative actions and began work to fully clarify the circumstances of the incident.
The investigation team is verifying the testimonies and evidence collected to determine the dynamics of the event, while procedural measures are expected to be taken against the perpetrator, which will be dictated by the results of the investigation.
