The next hearing at the GJKKO regarding the Partizani file, where former Prime Minister Sali Berisha and his son-in-law, Jamarbër Malltezi, are also defendants, will be held on July 20, at 11:00.
Former President Bamir Topi, former Minister of Defense Fatmir Mediu, former director of the Partizani club Isa Tare, and Paro Laçi are expected to testify at this hearing.
SPAK has insisted on taking the testimony of Isa Tara, even though his family members claim that he suffers from dementia. But SPAK does not have an act that proves that Isa Tara has been deprived of the right to act (i.e. incapacitated due to illness). In these conditions, SPAK has requested from the GJKKO to repeat the summons.
Meanwhile, Paro Laçi, former manager of the Partizani Club, has accused Sali Berisha and his family members in public statements of having robbed the club. It is not known whether or not Laçi will stand by the public accusations in the courtroom, or what position he will take in relation to the case. Among the characters who have testified in the GJKKO are former ministers Ylli Pango and Gazment Oketa, who with their statements have tried to justify every action they consider legal, avoiding the 'track' of pressures.
