The storm that swept through our country today has caused extensive damage in several areas of Albania.
In addition to floods and landslides, many residents have also faced a lack of electricity and water supply.
Power outages have been reported in Durrës and some parts of Tirana, while residents of the Linza area say they have been without electricity and drinking water for more than 9 hours.
"Every time there is a storm and rain, we residents of the Linzë area, which is only 15 minutes away from the center of Tirana, are left without electricity. Consequently, we are also without water. We have had to stay without electricity and water for 2 or 3 days, and we are afraid that such an incident could happen again," they told BW.
Meanwhile, OSHEE has reacted by stating that this was due to the transformer burning at the Lanabregas HPP substation.
