Lawyer Romeo Kara has stated that the DP has no chance of change or of coming to power as long as it is led by Sali Berisha.
Invited today to the 'Studio Live' show on Report TV, he said that Democrats should distance themselves from him.
" There is no change with Berisha, there is no chance of the opposition changing, but they must distance themselves from Berisha. With so many crimes, Berisha will not win again, that is for sure. These people still believe, they are waiting for 2029, even if Rama leaves, whoever he faces will not win ," he said.
While commenting on Ervin Salianj's release from prison, he described him as a necessary opposition voice.
' That person is an opposition voice that is necessary for the opposition, regardless of the fact that he made a mistake and suffered, he might not have suffered it in prison. When he was in prison, this opposition missed him. I no longer see him as a new guy in politics ,' he said.
There was also a comment on the resignations of directors in several municipalities in the country after Prime Minister Edi Rama's ultimatum.
' Did Rama do this because he has the power to do it or did he do this because he became aware? Rama said we will do Albania alone, now we have disbanded the team, now it falls to Rama alone to do it. They must be removed legally, not Rama, and when others come, the law will put them back in, because Rama will put them back in. You cannot remove someone else if it is not legal, not by action. Even the one who is in the administration who is in prison must be treated by law. You cannot do this by removing people like this ,' he said.
Regarding the action in Theth to demolish illegal constructions, the lawyer said that the action should continue throughout the country. He said that the people who allowed those illegal constructions should be held accountable.
' I have had the position that the law must be implemented at all costs. But there must be a precise analysis of why it came to this. Maybe all this power is like a construction of lawlessness, in these years the law has not been implemented. It is not simply something administrative, it has not functioned here. People do not have courage and people are afraid of the government. We have walked in lawlessness. The people who let this massacre happen must be held accountable, but the action must be taken throughout the country. Whoever had money had state support and became the master of the country. But this requires an analysis, these people must be held accountable. How do these people who buy 15 apartments get out of it ,' he said.
