Analyst Andi Bushati analyzed the passage of IBAR and the start of a new phase for Albania in relation to integration, that of closing the negotiation chapters.
Bushati said that there is no room for complacency, as the IBAR report itself reflects the major problems the country has and which will need to be addressed, despite the fact that Albania received a green light for this step.
" Since the war in Ukraine, the EU made a decision that, at least for the Western Balkans, we need to give signals that it is no longer a closed club, but gives others a chance to join. On the one hand, that's why it's geopolitical, that's why Montenegro is benefiting more and maybe we have a chance too.
Serbia, Bosnia, Kosovo do not benefit, so I say it is a combination. Albania, even with the Rama government, but also with the 30-year-old governments, is a pro-European country that has never opened problems. In this sense, it is also for domestic policies. Was this a glorious victory for Rama, or a mirror where we can see Rama's governance? Rama won a victory there, as the public was finished with the idea that he would not be allowed to take a single step there.
Besides the champagne and the parties, the kiss with the former UDB agent, besides the kiss, the fact of the reflection of this government is found in the IBAR report. If for 30 years the EU has told us we are concerned about corruption, in this report it raises a level higher and says Albania is at risk of substantial corruption, it notes differently from what has happened in these decades, that corruption is increasing. The fact that it talks about elections without equal playing conditions, mentions patronageists, mentions attacks on justice, mentions Balluk's immunity, etc. People now say these EU people are crazy? They have counted these scoundrels and say move on.
My analysis is that these conditions that could block IBAR were not canceled but exported when the group chapters were negotiated. Rama's victory was not achieved through work, but the conditions he had now were negotiated to be postponed later, which is why we crossed the IBAR dam ," Bushati declared on the show "The Unexposed".
