The Rector of the University of Tirana, Artan Hoxha, decided to suspend from duty the Dean of the Faculty of Law, Dorina Hoxha, who is running for member of the High Judicial Council.
Speaking about this decision, journalist Klodiana Lala said that this is an unprecedented scandal and the Administrative Court should overturn it. She emphasized that this is an attempt to usurp higher education institutions.
" Ms. Dorina Hoxha is running for the Supreme Court of Kosovo. The suspension by Rector Artan Hoxha is contrary to the Constitution and the Law on University Autonomy. No institution has reacted to this unprecedented scandal.
Tomorrow, Mrs. Hoxha will address the Administrative Court for the rector Artan Hoxha. Ilir Rusi, who is the head of the KLGJ today, was previously a dean, but he did not suspend him when he ran. The race for members of the KLGJ lasts 1 and a half years and this is usurpation.
The attempt to usurp higher education institutions is unacceptable.
"There within the Faculty of Law, the deans have had difficulties in administering university autonomy. This story is one and only: an attempt to conquer the Faculty of Law ," said Lala.
