An unusually fast-paced organized robbery has been recorded in England, where as yet unidentified perpetrators used a stolen construction tool to detach an ATM from the facade of a bank and leave in just four minutes.
The incident took place in the town of Ramsey, in the county of Cambridgeshire, near a branch of the financial institution Nationwide Building Society. According to police, the robbers acted at around 03:00 local time, using a stolen forklift or crane.
Security camera footage shows the moment the ATM is forcibly removed from the building. The perpetrators then loaded it into a second vehicle and fled before law enforcement arrived.
The police were notified a few minutes later and during verifications found that a total of three vehicles were involved in the operation.
Cambridgeshire authorities have appealed for cooperation from citizens, seeking information from people who may have noticed suspicious movement in the area or who have footage from security cameras, video intercoms or cameras installed in vehicles.
So far, no one has been arrested, while investigations to identify and capture the perpetrators continue.
