Journalist and analyst Neritan Sejamini has stated that Albania is not yet ready for membership in the European Union by 2030. Sejamini made the comments while he was invited to the show 'ÇdoKënd' on 'A2 CNN'.
He said that today France and Germany are against any kind of expansion of the European Union, while adding that in these two countries and in Italy, far-right parties (which are against expansion) are coming out on top in the polls for the first time.
According to Sejamini, a long work would be needed to adapt legislation and create equal standards with EU countries, so that Albania could integrate.
"France and Germany are against any kind of EU enlargement. Meanwhile, right-wing parties that are against any kind of enlargement in France, Germany and Italy are for the first time in first place in all polls. Here the idea has been created that the negotiation process is simple.

"For you to integrate, it means that Germany recognizes that you have such a system of control and security, that your mandarins are safe for their own citizens. But you don't want it on paper, but in practice, " Sejamini said, among other things.
