A doctor, part of the 21st protest in front of the Prime Minister's Office, addressed citizens with a message about emigration, hope and responsibility towards the country, calling on his colleagues who have taken the path of exile to unite to contribute to Albania.
From the protest podium, he said he was speaking not as a health professional, but as one of the thousands of Albanians who have left the country with the pain of separation from family and parents.
"Today I am like one of you who took the heavy suitcase that was filled with the tears of our parents. Those tears are for us. We will become the god of our country," he said.
The doctor emphasized that Albania needs the engagement of its citizens and that it is time for young people and the diaspora to take responsibility for the country's future.
"Albania today has a god and we fight for him. We are the ones who must push Albania forward," he declared.
During his speech, he also raised concerns about the state of the healthcare system, citing the difficulties citizens face in obtaining necessary medical services.
"How many times have we had to see our parents in hospitals, unable to get the treatments they need. Corruption is still in every cell and must be undone," he said.
In conclusion, the doctor used a symbolic message for the unity of Albanians, declaring that "the Albanians' ashes are being gathered," at a moment when, according to him, the country needs everyone's contribution.
