How are those who have lost their jobs trying to be catapulted to the Constitutional Court...
The Judicial Appointments Council has qualified 6 out of 13 names that expressed interest for Holta Zaçaj's vacant position on the Constitutional Court.
Earlier this year, the Supreme Court opened the competition for Zaçaj's seat and 13 people expressed interest. According to the law, the process of verification and determination of candidates is carried out by the Judicial Appointments Council, which at the end of the process sends 3 candidates to the appointing body, in this case the Supreme Court.
After verifying the documentation provided by KED and checking the conditions and criteria, 6 names have qualified.
It is learned that the following will be participating in the competition: Asim Vokshi, Alban Toro, Florjan Ballhysa, Naureda Llagami, Genta Tafa and Alma Faskaj.
Meanwhile, out of the race or on hold are: Denar Biba, Irena Nino, Klodian Rado, Lulzim Hamitaj, Nurihan Meta, Rezana Balla and Sinan Tafaj.
On Thursday, the Judicial Appointments Council is expected to review and evaluate Denar Diba's candidacy.
What is striking is that 5 out of 6 qualified names have held positions in the Supreme Court or Vetting bodies.
Alban Toro has been a member of the High Judicial Council, while Naureda Llagami has been the president of the High Judicial Council. Florjan Ballhysa has been a Public Commissioner, while Genta Tafa and Alma Faskaj are part of the Independent Qualification Commission. Asim Vokshi is currently a judge of the High Court. /Pamphlet
