Another issue discussed in Dritan Goxhaj's interview for the "Të Pashoq" Pamflet podcast was the protest's relationship with political parties, as well as the rapprochement of MP Mariana Koçeku with the civic movement. Asked by journalist Edjona Dervishi whether there were contacts from the opposition or attempts to orient the protest politically, Goxhaj stated that the organizers have taken a firm stance against the involvement of parties in directing the protest.
Interview:
Edjona Dervishi: Yes, have you been contacted by the opposition, for example? Because since you are also including the opposition in your demands, the main slogan is "Berisha in prison, Rama in prison."
Dritan Goxhaj: Look, despite this slogan, there has been no contact from the opposition, as far as I know, with the coordination group. None of the opposition MPs have made any contact.
Edjona Dervishi: What about attempts by certain parties, especially to divide you or to unite you?
Dritan Goxhaj: There have been as many attempts at division as you want. Of all forms. From getting people on the podium to say something that could then be used to label the protest. But these have always been taken as individual positions.
The group has decided to no longer give the floor to certain individuals, precisely so that tomorrow the government or opposition will not use their statements to steer the protest in a political direction they desire.
There will always be attempts at division. Individuals trying to block it, individuals creating different groups. These are inevitable in a protest like this.
As long as the protest is not partisan, everyone seeks to give it a partisan or other direction. These are inevitable.
There has been no contact. The coordination group has had a clear stance: any MP who wants to speak at this protest must resign from their mandate. Any party leader must resign from the party leadership and then they can come and speak as much as they want.
