One of the members of the coordination group of the 27 protests held in Tirana, Ilir Xhemalaj, has made public the plan that, according to him, aims to be followed if the protesters' demands are met.
In an interview with Report TV, Xhemalaj said that the first and non-negotiable condition remains the resignation of Prime Minister Edi Rama, "of his caste" and the withdrawal from the opposition's dominance of the leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha.
He stated that after the creation of a technical government, which according to him should last 12 months, the dissolution of Parliament is not ruled out, while constitutional amendments will then be undertaken, especially for those of 2008.
"Perhaps at a later stage we can also request the dissolution of parliament after the caretaker government, but for now it is necessary for the caretaker government. Then we will continue with some elements of the Constitution that need to be changed, especially the changes of 2008."
"The Assembly first and foremost represents the will of the people and the people have come out to the square today. All these demands have come out of that square and that square has some delegates in parliament who should listen to the people, but this does not happen, because they answer to only one person," said Xhemalaj.
According to Xhemalaj, power would pass to a Citizens' Assembly with 300-400 members, from which a council would then be elected that would have a role in determining the government and constitutional changes. He said that the members of this assembly should be blameless people, who have not benefited from corrupt tenders and have not held leadership positions in the Albanian state for several years.
"Yes, and in this part, in this part, we have thought of a citizens' assembly, let's say a citizens' assembly, with 300-400 people at the beginning, some of whom because we cannot know all the people who are in that square ," said Xhemalaj.
