Analyst Martin Leka says that the statement of the leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, who said that he will enter the Assembly, even though he did not know the results of the May 11 elections, is absurd.
In an interview for "Tirana Live", Leka said that Berisha silences every voice in the DP and if you oppose him, you are expelled from the party.
Leka added that the DP will not reform with Berisha.
"He, I don't even know the elections, we even enter the parliament. It's something almost absurd. We can have remarks about the elections, but not recognizing the elections, calling them a farce and participating, is the greatest absurdity. Sali Berisha dominates the DP, it is his own party. The DP, not the opposition. He is the only person who silences every voice in the DP. I'm sorry, because there are capable figures there, but they have no way. If you oppose Sali Berisha, you are out of that party. I think that for 12 years, the DP has been led by Sali Berisha. Sali Berisha will be remembered for not keeping his word. Now that he is at the helm, he removed the Basha article. He has that party as his family party. The DP cannot be reformed, having Sali Berisha inside," he emphasized.
