"Autocratic regime installed with American stamp", Bushati: Supports

Analyst Andi Bushati said that American Democrats, in 8 years, worked to install a complete autocratic regime in Albania, a captured state that today bears the seal of Edi Rama, but also the blessing of Washington.

According to him, Rama's regime is not simply the product of internal manipulations, but is stamped with an American signature.

Bushati also said that neither the Trump administration nor any American administration since World War II has been based on pure principles, but always on cold interests.

"So it's not that this Edi Rama supports drugs, wins elections with criminal gangs and we have to crack down on him - no. On the contrary, they have accepted it and used it as a tool for their interests," Bushati said.

He recalled the famous expression of American diplomacy: “He is a son of a whore, but he is our son of a whore.” And according to Bushati, this is exactly how they see Rama, a man steeped in corruption, drugs, and gang connections, but who does not affect their interests.

The analyst emphasized that during the 8 years of the democratic administration, everything was done to bring Albania under an autocratic regime of Edi Rama, where elections are manipulated, the media is suppressed and the opposition is destroyed. “Today, this regime that rules the country is a regime branded with an American stamp,” he said.

He also emphasized that it is true that this new American administration is not openly pro-Rama, but is completely indifferent to the fate of democracy in Albania.

"I don't think this Trump administration, or any American administration since World War II, has embarked on major trials to attack or support a head of state."

So it's not like 'this Edi Rama supported drugs there and won the elections with drug gangs and we have to crack down on him'.

It's a famous expression of American diplomacy, 'he's a son of a bitch but he's our son of a bitch', and I don't think we have any major difference here.

During this period, we had 8 years of democrats who worked with as much importance as Albania has to install an autocratic regime in Albania, so Rama's regime today is a regime with an American stamp.

"Today it is true that it is no longer the same administration, it is not pro-Rama, it is indifferent to the fate of democracy in Albania, at least so far this administration ," he told "Syri TV".
