Journalist Fatos Mahmutaj said that the US has clearly shown that it will support Albanian justice.
In an interview with "Edicioni i Fundit", he said that Duman's successor should prioritize the continuation of the work started by SPAK.
"The Americans have shown that they support SPAK and that they demand that the corrupt be brought to justice. Meanwhile, the priority issues of Dumani's successor should be the continuation of the work started by SPAK. So, the acceleration of many cases that are progressing slowly. We have the case of Sali Berisha, or even the case of former president Ilir Meta. For Meta, the file had to be opened in 2017 and he was arrested in 2024. The same thing for Berisha. So it took about 8 years, and SPAK has walked with the steps of a turtle. So, Dumani's successor must show values, SPAK "must show its teeth". Albanians need justice", he said.
The journalist then focused on Berisha's non grata, saying that his non grata "has never been dropped".
He was critical of DP leader Sali Berisha, saying that his only goal is to hold the Albanian opposition hostage.
"Berisha has shown that he does not have the necessary strength to overthrow Rama. Berisha seems to be moderating recently. After once beating and killing those who opposed him, now he is expelling them. Experience has shown that whoever opposed Berisha was either beaten or killed. As for the part that Berisha will enter parliament but will not recognize elections, we can say that Berisha's paradoxes are extraordinary. He loves his salary, while he does not recognize elections...", he continued.
