Journalist Artan Hoxha has analyzed the activities of Albanian drug cartels, their logistical power, and the countries where they operate.
Hoxha said that in Albania there are genuine structures that traffic cocaine directly from Latin America to the largest cities in the US.
The journalist said that they would be heard from later because they were being tracked.
"Albanian criminal organizations are not near the border, but they are inside. We have genuine structures that traffic cocaine taken directly from Latin America and traffic it inside major US cities, starting from Miami, Florida, New York, Los Angeles and up to Chicago. We have them there.
You will hear from them later, that they are tracking them. I do not know if they will cooperate. They have been doing this work since 2008-2009, when several Albanian organizations that were involved in trafficking within the territory of the United States were hit. Now, in this great priority that the United States has, the new administration has also included the part of Albania.
And I'm saying, in all the investigations so far in Albania, we have many names that have not been previously, have not been declared wanted, because we have no convictions yet. Surprisingly, we have investigations launched mainly from indications coming from abroad. The Serious Crimes Prosecution has conducted investigations from within and today the moment has come, to say it out loud, that they have conducted investigations themselves. They have had people infiltrate within the organizations, they have conducted investigations, wiretaps within the territory. They did not wait for the texts that came," said Hoxha, invited to the show "Çim Peka Live".
