On the eve of the final State Matura 2026 exam, the Minister of Education, Mirela Kumbaro, has called on high school graduates to strictly implement the regulations and avoid any violations that could penalize them in this important phase of education.
In a message published on social media, Kumbaro reminded that the use of mobile phones and other smart devices in exam rooms is strictly prohibited. She also expressed regret for the 29 high school graduates who were excluded from the exams during the first three tests due to non-compliance with the regulations.
"I regret the 29 high school graduates who were excluded during the first three exams for violating the regulations, losing the opportunity to continue the State Matura exams and putting their university enrollment at risk for this academic year, but respecting the rules is extremely important and non-negotiable," the minister said.
Kumbaro emphasized that calmness, correctness, and concentration are essential elements for the best possible performance in the exam, asking students to carefully follow the administrators' instructions.
"Dear high school graduates, responsibly respect all the established rules and follow the instructions of the administrators. Calmness, concentration and correctness are the key elements for the highest possible results," she declared.
The 2026 State Matura process is taking place in 144 exam centers across the country, with the involvement of more than 2,000 teacher administrators and 170 monitors from the Ministry of Education. The elective subject exam also marks the end of national testing, the results of which will be decisive for the applications and admission of graduates to university.
The Minister announced earlier that this year, measures have been strengthened to guarantee the smooth running of the process, and penalties have been tightened for any violation of the regulations, both for students and exam administrators.
