The Blues are on a terrible losing streak under the Englishman, losing six of their last seven games in all competitions. In the Premier League, they are winless in their last four games and are in real danger of finishing outside of European competition.
A defeat at Manchester United on Saturday, followed by a Liverpool win over Everton in the Merseyside derby, leaves Chelsea seven points adrift of the Champions League places. But they can still win silverware with success in the FA Cup. Leeds, however, are unbeaten in six games and are full of confidence heading into Wembley.
On the face of it, Chelsea still have a chance of qualifying for the Europa League, but the teams below them are in form. And Newcastle United, in 14th place, are just six points behind them, so it's not beyond the realms of possibility that the Blues could finish outside the top ten.
And as well as discussing Rosenborg's future, Stelling analysed some of the shocking statistics behind Chelsea's good form. They are sliding down the table. The prospect of them not having any European football next season is a realistic one. They have the same number of points as Brentford and Bournemouth, and Spurs have had three managers since Chelsea last kept a clean sheet in the Premier League.
Liam Rosenior is under a lot of pressure and he will take some of the responsibility for the form his team is in. Chelsea's problems are clear both on and off the pitch, and there is a real possibility that this season will get worse before it gets better.
