Skënderbeu achieved a clean 0-2 victory in the friendly match held in Pogradec, showing good form on the eve of the new season.
The first ten minutes were quiet for both teams, with Skënderbeu trying a bit harder, but without risking the home goal, while the Lakers almost chose to play more in the background. It was in the 11th minute that Skënderbeu, with a quick descent on the left wing, took the ball to the entrance of the Pogradec area. Janaqi shot strongly and greeted the net, giving Skënderbeu a 0-1 advantage.
There was celebration among the red and whites for the advantage goal, while three minutes later, it was the Pogradec team that created the first chance. Sodiq Kazim, from the right, shot towards the goal, but Marko Alia saved without difficulty.
In the 22nd minute, another chance came for Pogradec. After a cross in the area, Sodiq headed the ball, but the ball went just wide of Alias' goal, saving Skënderbeu.
In the 35th minute, Pogradec missed an ideal opportunity to equalize. Kazim escaped the defense, came face to face with goalkeeper Alia, shot, but Skënderbeg's "guardian" made a decisive save, avoiding a sure goal.
The first half ended with Skënderbeg's minimal advantage. The second half started with substitutions from both teams. The game remained calm and tepid until the 60th minute, with a lack of chances in both goals. In the 61st minute, Tajo for Skënderbeg had the opportunity to double, but after a long touch of the ball in the area, goalkeeper Stanić saved the home goal.
In the 73rd minute, Skënderbeu scored the second goal. Rodrigues, in an attempt to return the ball to goalkeeper Stanić, made a mistake with his head and sent it into the net for 0-2. Two minutes later, Nasr in the 5-meter area shot diagonally, but the Pogradec goalkeeper saved again by deflecting it into a corner kick. Until the end of the match there were no other chances, except for a few mistakes from both teams, and finally Skënderbeu won cleanly 0-2 in the Pogradec transfer, convincing with play and result.
