The future of the Albanian national team coach, Silvinjo, continues to remain unclear. The Brazilian has a contract valid until July, while so far there has been no official decision on the renewal or termination of his cooperation with the Albanian Football Federation (FSHF).
According to current data, the coach is not considering resigning, while the decision on his continuation remains in the hands of the Albanian Football Association, which has so far respected the existing contract.
In the event of a possible departure, one of the temporary alternatives could be the coach of the U-21 team, Alban Bushi, who could lead the team in the matches in June.
The example of Italy: temporary solutions and uncertainty
The situation in Albania somewhat mirrors recent developments in Italy. The Italian Federation has opted for a temporary solution, appointing Silvio Baldini as head coach of the national team for friendlies, while the search for a new coach continues.
Baldini, currently coach of the Italy U-21 team, will temporarily lead the first team until a permanent successor is appointed.
Resignation of the FIGC president and new elections
Another important development in Italian football is the resignation of the president of the Federation, Gabriele Gravina. The decision was confirmed during an official meeting in Rome.
He has called an Extraordinary Electoral Assembly on June 22, where the new head of the federation is expected to be elected. The move aims to ensure institutional stability before the start of the new season.
Gravina stated that he will also report to a parliamentary session on the state of Italian football, highlighting both achievements and structural problems.
Gattuso's departure after World Cup elimination
At the same time, Italy has been left without a coach after the departure of Gennaro Gattuso. The federation confirmed the termination of cooperation following the elimination in the play-off stage of the World Cup, following the defeat to Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Gattuso himself stated that the decision was made to facilitate the process of reorganizing the national team, acknowledging the failure to achieve the objectives.
The race for the Italy bench
Following Gattuso's departure, several well-known names have been rumored as candidates for the Italian national team, including Roberto Mancini, Massimiliano Allegri, Simone Inzaghi and Antonio Conte.
The final decision is expected to be made after the federation elections, while until then the team's leadership may remain in the hands of a temporary coach.
