Following Germany's elimination from the World Cup, Jürgen Klopp's name has been widely mentioned in the sports media as one of the leading candidates to replace Julian Nagelsmann on the bench of the German national team.
The former Liverpool coach was present at the stadium as a television commentator, where he was asked about the possibility of taking over the national team.
" I haven't thought about it yet. I, too, as a coach, have experienced many situations where a big dream has been destroyed. I understand that, when talking about the coach of the German national team, my name is mentioned. But it's not the right time to talk about this, especially not with me ," Klopp told "MagentaTV".
The German coach emphasized that he is currently focused on his professional commitment and does not see it appropriate to discuss the future immediately after the national team's elimination.
" I have a job that I do with great pleasure. And, from what I hear, the position of Germany coach is not a part-time job. Today Germany was eliminated and it is not the time to think about the figure of Jürgen Klopp ," he concluded.
