Rudi Vata, the former captain of the National Team, in an interview for "News24", on the show "Sport News", analyzed Sylvinho's list, the "big" absences and his perception of the coach's decisions. In the conversation with journalist Trevisa Tufa, Vata also responded to the statement made by Alban Bushi, emphasizing that no representative of the AFL has contacted his son, Roko Vata:
-Vata, how did Sylvinho's list make you feel, what was the first thing that came to your mind?
I have been part of the lists in the national team for a long career and I know the emotion that every footballer has. Of course, participating in a European or in such a major event is very special for every player of the National Team. Especially for those who claim to have invested their energies, sacrificed to be an important part, and a final moment to receive such news is very shocking. It "kills" you, but at the same time that's why they are called professionals because in difficult moments or dissatisfaction you have to know how to manage. I think that all three footballers who were left out in my opinion deserve to be part of the national team, and their professional behavior has been perfect
- Three big question marks were Cikalleshi, Uzuni and Bare. Why Cikalleshi outside? Is it a player with over 50 games in the red and black jersey, Sylvinho's first choice in the qualifiers?
-Cikalleshi has carried an important weight. After Broja's injury, Cikalleshi was the leader of the attack, the player who ran a lot for the team. He has sacrificed every meter on the field for the team. I think that at this moment the European could be the end of him in the National Team and his non-participation is very disappointing. Uzuni and Bare are young boys, they have the opportunity to adapt to the National Team in the future, while Cikalleshi has received an extremely heavy blow. But I think it was left out for technical reasons.
- Did the form of other players penalize him? Let's not forget that Broja, Rey Manaj and Daku also play in that position...
To analyze Sylvinho, of course what I think is that he has won a big bet with Albania up to these moments. But there is an even bigger bet to win in the European, because Sylvinho's contract ends after the European. Of course he has ambitions to be at high levels. The performances of the national team in these three challenges with the elite of European football will either raise his value as a coach or remain at those levels. With the players he has called, he will make an extremely good appearance, not only for Albania, but also for his career. It was his decision to "eliminate" an important player and the coach will bear the "burden" of the result. We have different opinions. There are people who are for and against Cikalles in the National Team, but everyone has their own opinion.
- Vata, are you for or against Cikalles in Europe?
I am absolutely in favor.
- Was Cikalleshi forced to resign? Did "mate" catch Sylvinho with this decision?
No, I think that Cikalleshi has eliminated a great deal of stress for Sylvinho because he has not created a situation with controversy. It is his right to protect his investment, but he has chosen to remain silent. So Sylvinho doesn't have a headache because Cikalleshi has closed it with a statement and now the coach can be focused on the preparations with Italy.
-With Cikallesh out, do you now see the favorite to play as a starter in the European Championship? As it is clear that Sylvinho plays with a centre-forward…
Undoubtedly Broja. Broja, Daku, Manaj are at "war" with each other. It depends on the efficiency they will have. Of course, the coach has two friendly matches to understand which of these three strikers can carry the weight of the attack in the opening match. It is an unclear situation because Broja is coming from a long injury, but he is a player that we think will send us to the opponent's goal because he has physical qualities that no other National team player has. He is a unique player, a Chelsea footballer, he has a much greater value in the market than others. At the same time, Daku and Manaj are also hungry. It will be a beautiful rivalry. The striker is measured by goals and whoever scores first will be the starter in the next challenge. Otherwise, Sylvinho will be forced to move from time to time.
- Why are you outside? What burned it in your view? mqs the coach did not prefer to give an explanation...
Unë mendoj se ka diçka nuk shkon mes Uzunit dhe trajnerit. Nuk e di çfarë ka ndodhur në dhomat e zhveshjes, por nuk ka patur kimi Uzuni me stafin teknik. Ai është i vlefshëm për Kombëtaren, ku edhe ka patur momente të mira. Me meritë ka mbërritur në ato nivele dhe mendoj se ndoshta është një nga lojtarët “bio” në Kombëtare. Mendoj që edhe ai duhet të analizojë veten e tij. Futbollistët në përgjithësi janë egoistë. Edhe unë në karrierën time kam menduar se kam patur të drejtë në raport me trajnerin, por në fund kam dal në konkluzion se trajneri ka gjithnjë te drejtë, edhe nëse është gabim. Por çdo gjë vjen me eksperiencën.
-Nuk dua të merrem me fjalë të menaxherëve, por përfaqësuesi i Uzunit u shpreh se ka statistika më të mira se 5 nga 6 sulmuesit e grumbulluar. Pra vetëm Manaj ka bërë më mirë se Uzuni. Nuk është pak të realizosh 11 gola në La Liga…
Unë mendoj që një përfaqësues i futbollist shqiptar në La Liga është arritje e madhe. Nëse ne kemi vetëm një lojtar që luan në La Liga domethënë se nuk kemi lojtarë për të luajtur në këto nivele. Uzuni është rast unik dhe do të hyjë në historinë e futbollit shqiptar për faktin se është futbollisti i vetëm qe ka shënuar 11 gola në La Liga. Deri kur të kemi një lojtar tjetër që të arrijë këto nivele nuk mund të bëjmë krahasime.
-Më bëri përshtypje një koment i Rrakllit në lidhje me Brojën dhe Jasir Asanin, dy lojtarë me pak minuta në këmbë. Nuk mjafton vetëm ndjenja e patriotizmit theksoi, pasi ndihet mungesa e minutave. Ju si mendoni, do të jenë në kushte optimale në Evropian?
Altini ka të drejtë. Ka qenë futbollist vetë dhe e di se çfarë do të thotë të vish nga një dëmtim apo minutat. Broja ka minuta në stërvitje, por jo në ndeshje zyrtare. Brojës i mungojnë minutat por në te njëjtën kohë Sylvinho ka në dorë për ti marrë maksimumin Brojës, për aq kohë sa ai mund të jetë efikas. Broja duhet te rri i qetë, të presë momentin. Pjesëmarrja në Evropian është shume e rëndësishme për të në aspektin psikologjik. Por edhe besimi që i është dhënë. Mendoj që stafi e ka menaxhuar shumë mirë, pasi mund të mos e grumbullonin me justifikim që nuk ka minutat e duhura. Ata kanë menduar për të ardhmen e Shqipërisë, sepse Beoja do jetë lideri i sulmit të Shqipërisë.
-Vata, dy nga tre prurjet e fundit të Sylvinhos Daku dhe Arbër Hoxha u ftuan në Evropian, besoj me këtë lëvizje Sylvinho dhe FSHF vërtetuan se nuk ftojnë lojtarë për t’i djegur…
Padiskutim që FSHF nuk mendoj se ka ndikuar te lista e Evropianit, pasi këtë radhë mendoj që ka qenë në dorë te stafit teknik. Në të kaluarën mund të jenë marrë shumë vendime te gabuara dhe këto gabime nuk duhet ti përmendim, por ne duhet të punojmë për të mos gabuar më që të ecim para. Besoj që edhe në këtë listë ka gabime, sepse edhe Sylvinho nuk është i pagabueshëm.
-Kush mendoni ju se ishte një nga gabimet më të mëdha?
-Vetë Evropiani do te na japi mundësinë për te kuptuar se ku gaboi trajneri dhe çfarë vendimesh të duhura mori Sylvinho.
-Pikëpyetja e fundit ishte Kejdi Bare, në vend të tij, nëse mund ta cilësojmë kështu u ftua Abrashi…
Keidi Bara është 6 vite më i ri se Abrashi. Ky i fundit për mendimin tim ka qenë motor në mesfushë. Ka qenë i jashtëzakonshëm, jepte shpirtin në fushe. Por në këto momente të rikthesh Abrashin më duket pa sens sepse nuk i shërben te ardhmes. Unë kam menduar se e ka mbyllur me Kombëtaren. Rikthimi i tij dhe lënia jashtë e Bares më duket e çuditshme sepse nuk ke lojtarë me eksperiencë. Mendoj që edhe me Baren diçka nuk shkon, ndoshta sjellja sepse në futboll analizohen shumë gjëra jo vetëm performanca në fushën e blertë. Ka lojtarë që pretendojnë më shumë se sa mendon trajneri dhe ky i fundit nuk dëshiron të ketë në stol lojtarë që nuk pranojnë vendimet e tij.
-Kishte dhe emra të rinj, si Medon Berisha apo portieri Simoni, në fund duhet të largoj vetëm një nga 27. Kush mendon se do sakrifikohet, apo tani besoj se nuk do ta ketë aq të vështirë…
E ka shumë të lehtë për te larguar një. Janë 3-4 futbollistë që e kanë në ndërgjegjen e tyre që nuk mund të jenë pjesë e Kombëtares në Evropian. Një nga këto do jetë edhe i kënaqur që mori ftesë në listën përfundimtare dhe nuk do të ketë hatër mbetje. Lojtarët që kanë parur diçka të tillë me stafin nuk janë pjesë e Kombëtares.
-Vata, beson se mund të bëjmë mirë në një grup me Italinë, Spanjën dhe Kroacinë?
Unë mendoj që këna mundësi të madhe të bëjmë paraqitje të jashtëzakonshme, por në të njëjtën kohë jam i përgatitur edhe për humbje. Në fund të fundit këto ndeshje Shqipërisë i japin mundësinë të rritet, pasi luajnë me kundërshtare të niveleve të larta. Është gjë tjetër te luash me Çekinë, Poloninë dhe diçka tjetër të luash me kampionë bote. Me Spanjën dhe Italinë çdo futbollist do të impenjohet në mënyrë maksimale sepse me elitën ke dëshirë të barazohesh. Tifozët janë energji e jashtëzakonshme dhe do i shërbejnë futbollistëve të motivohen në maksimum.
-A do firmosje që tani për të mbyllur këtë grup në vend të tretë, a do ishte kjo një mrekulli?

-Pak ditë më parë, Alban Bushi, trajneri i Shpresave, u shpreh se Federata ka kontaktuar me Rokon dhe disa talente të tjerë, a ka pasur realisht një ftesë konkrete për Rokon?
I saw Albani as a roommate when coach Medin Zhega was the coach of the national team. Albani often fell asleep with a plan and woke up with dreams. He could only have seen it in a dream. If officially a representative of the AFL has contacted me or Roko's agents, because I am sure that they have not contacted the boy personally. It is not fair to lie because it is a very delicate situation. People who understand my relationship with people who have invested in Albanian football since 20 years ago, must understand that there is no way they would want Rudi Vata's presence to be close to the national team. It's impossible. They lie to people and fill them with illusions as if Rudi Vata has been contacted. In my life, I have not yet contacted a representative of the Albanian Football Federation about Roko in an official form. If Albani says that I asked Rudi how is Roko doing? Are you making progress? This is something else because it is a conversation between two friends, but not to plan something about this situation. Journalists, if they are interested in knowing the truth, must seek facts.
- If there was an official invitation for Roko, would Roko agree to play for Albania?
- If there was, we would discuss it and you would be the first to know. But I am telling you that there are clans that do not have it in their interest for Rudi Vata or Rudi Vata's son to approach the National Team. Because balances can be broken and they don't want these balances broken, but they want to have them as they are. I'm not saying Duke because I have nothing against him, but there are people close to him who know how I work. My presence near the representative team destabilizes their clans and this cannot happen. In this way, they make noisemakers who say that Vata has been contacted. They are lies, empty words. If someone brings out a fact, I don't talk about this situation anymore. The way they present things is typical of how things work in Albania. Albania is the country of penalties and fines. Those who impose fines do so and vice versa. This mentality does not work with me. They try to solve it in the "Alla-Albanian" way at a time when my mentality and my culture have been changed for 33 years. Because I've built a life on important systems. My mentality has taken a shape that I don't agree with the mentality behind because I was wrong. These have lived in that world and continue to live. That's the difference. Someone believes in work, someone in the devil. These remind us that we move forward with the devil.
