The Albanian national football team has started preparations for the two friendlies that will be played before "EURO 2024". Challenges against Liechtenstein and Azerbaijan will be worth a lot to Silvinho to create an idea about the European champions.
One of the players who can win the starting position is Ivan Balliu. The defender, who is currently active in the Spanish La Liga with Rajo Vajekanon, has developed a fantastic season.
Balliu played a total of 33 games as a starter with Vajekanon in the Spanish championship, managing to give 1 assist. A full 2876 minutes at his feet, could make Elseid Hysaj feel threatened, despite the fact that Shkodran has been in the starting 11 throughout the qualifiers.
But the form of the former Barcelona player may leave Hysaj out of the starting line-up, with Silvinho saying that he has selected the players according to the style of play that will be played in the European Championship. Seeing that he also left out players like Cikalleshi, it is not surprising that the Brazilian also changes the starters.
Hysaj on the other side has a big disadvantage, which is exactly the minutes he got last season with Lazio. Although he has played only 2 games less than Balliu, i.e. 31 such games, Hysaj has accumulated only 1732 minutes, where in most cases he preferred to be activated in the last 10 minutes of the games.
An open "war" in the National Team, which started with the desire for the invitation to "EURO 2024", as it is expected to continue for the home team's jersey in such an important competition.
