The Paris Olympics 2024, lowered the curtain this Sunday with a grand ceremony organized at the "Stade de France" stadium.
In the packed stadium, Edith Piaff's hit "under the sky of Paris" was sung in unison, under the balloon with the Olympic flame that stayed lit for 15 days.
The USA dominated for the fourth straight edition of the Paris Olympics, stopping China from returning to the top for the first time since Beijing 2008.
In third place was Japan with 20 gold medals, followed by Australia with 18 and France with 16. With the triumph of American basketball players in the final against the French, the United States of America came out on top with 40 gold medals, 44 silver and 42 bronze, while China won 91 medals in total.
As for the Albanian national teams, Kosovo was ranked 73rd with one silver and one bronze medal, while Albania holds the 80th place with two bronze medals.
Olympic organizers said France had been united and happy throughout the two weeks of the Olympics, with record ticket sales drawing in sports fans from around the world.
