Liverpool returned to winning ways in the Premier League after a three-week run without a win, beating Fulham 2-0 at Anfield Road in the match valid for the 32nd week.
The match was unblocked in the 36th minute. After an assist from Florian Uirc, 17-year-old talent Rio Ngumoha scored a beautiful goal with a precise shot inside the area, giving the home team the lead.
Just four minutes later, Liverpool doubled their lead. Mohamed Salah finished with his left foot after a pass from Kodi Gakpo, making it 2-0 and ending the first half with the home side in a comfortable lead.
In the second half, Fulham appeared more demanding and managed to send the ball into the net through Sasha Lukic, but the goal was disallowed for offside. The Londoners tried again in the 78th minute with Emili Smith Rowe, but his shot went wide of the right post.
Liverpool also had the opportunity to extend the lead in the 81st minute, but Alexis McAllister's attempt ended up outside the box, near the post.
With this victory, Liverpool climbs to 53 points, maintaining fifth place in the standings, a position that this season ensures a place in the Champions League due to the increased quota for England. On the other hand, Fulham remains in 11th place with 44 points.
