French MEP Emma Fourreau has announced that she will travel to Albania to join the protests. In a post on social media, Fourreau said that Albanian citizens have been protesting against the Zvërnec project for more than a month. She stated that the protests are also related to opposition to what she described as corruption by the socialist government of Prime Minister Edi Rama.
"Albanians have risen up against the corruption of Edi Rama's government ," wrote the French MEP, calling for an end to what she said was the plundering of land and property.
Fourreau expressed support for the citizens participating in the protest and confirmed that she will be present in Albania to join the demonstration.
"I am leaving for Albania to support the Pink Flamingo Revolution! For more than a month, the Albanian people have risen up against the ecocidal project financed by the Trump family and against the corruption of Edi Rama's socialist government.
Stop the plunder of land and property, support the Albanians who are at war!" - writes the French MEP.
