The transfer window for Lazio has been blocked, with coach Maurizio Sarri set to leave before he even starts work. He had agreed to return to the club with enthusiasm and was aware of the difficult situation regarding reinforcements.
But, as Corriere dello Sport explains, coach Sarri was not informed of how serious the situation was. Kovisok (noting that on March 31 the three FIGC parameters, liquidity index, debt and extended labor costs, had been exceeded) decreed that no purchases could be made until September.
Unless president Lotito makes up for the deficit by reducing staff or injecting liquidity with his own funds, Lazio could have a blocked transfer window until January unless the owners step in to pay off the debt.
Sarri had wanted three signings: an attacking midfielder, a defender in case Tavares was sold and a striker if Castejanos found another place. But with the current situation, he could leave very quickly.
It is learned that Sarri will assess what happened, if motivations remain intact, if he will be able to make at least one purchase and stay with last season's group at least until January.
