Anis Mehmeti scored his fifth goal of the season for Bristol City as they beat Southampton in the Championship. The Albanian striker spoke to the media after the 3-1 win.
" It was a great victory against a strong team and we are very happy to get the three points. We have a great mentality. We knew that with a goal we could change the game at any moment. Getting back into the game was key for us, in the second half we were great.
I worked hard, getting between the lines and beyond the last line of defense and it all started with a great pass from Rob. I'm very happy with that goal. Our changes depend on the game. We decided to block low, we know that with transition we can score against anyone. And it came true. Last year we were very good at home, this year we were good on the road and not at home.
We wanted to change it and it started today. We know that we have an important match on Saturday, and we need to make three wins out of three. We need to rest, recover and go towards them, bring the energy, and that's what we will do ," said Anis Mehmeti.
