Ernest Muçi, who joined the Albanian National Team with high expectations for the World Cup play-off phase, had minimal activation in the match against Poland, where he was only introduced in the last minutes without being able to influence the result.
In the following match against Ukraine, the 25-year-old was unavailable due to physical problems. The Albanian Football Federation confirmed in an official statement that, after magnetic resonance examinations, the player had been diagnosed with edema in the muscle.
Initially, it was reported that the injury was not serious and that Muçi was expected to return to the field soon, being ready for the important match against Galatasaray. However, this did not happen. The Albanian striker was not only absent from the lineup, but also on the bench in Trabzonspor's 2-1 victory.
The concern is further heightened by the fact that Muçi has not appeared in the Turkish team's training sessions. In the club's official publications, he does not appear among the players preparing for the next match against Alanyaspor, scheduled for April 11.
Currently, there is no exact date for his return to the field, while his absence comes at a time when he was having one of the best seasons of his career.
