The only son of iconic singer Cher, Elijah Blue Allman, was recently rushed to the hospital after allegedly suffering an overdose.
According to authorities who raided his apartment, Allman was displaying erratic behavior at the time he was found, while narcotics were reportedly found inside the house.
Meanwhile, his ex-wife, Marieangela King, in a statement to "People", said that Elijah has gone through a number of personal challenges over the years, but has consistently shown efforts to remain sober and devoted to the people he loves.
The incident comes after several difficult episodes in his life. Just a few months earlier, in 2023, Cher had sought temporary custody of her son's assets, citing his drug abuse and deteriorating mental health. However, in September 2024, she dropped the request and the parties reached a private agreement.
In the past, the complicated relationship between mother and son has often been the focus of the media, including a strong accusation from Elijah's ex-wife, who claimed that Cher had organized his kidnapping from a Los Angeles hotel, a claim the singer categorically denied.
There is currently no official information about Elijah Allman's current condition, but fans and loved ones are hoping for a speedy and irreversible recovery.
