The famous rapper from Peja, Asdren Gjikolli – known by his stage name Gjiko – was declared innocent this Monday by the Basic Court in Pristina, regarding the rape charge that was weighing on him. The decision was greeted with emotion by his wife, presenter Elita Rudi, who has been by his side throughout this difficult process.
Through a post on social media, Elita expressed her relief and joy over this decision, emphasizing that she has always believed in her partner's innocence.
"Today a wound that hurt us, but never separated us, is closed. Today what my heart has always known was proven: you are innocent. We have endured words, accusations, doubts... but we have never given up," she wrote.
Elita recalled the difficult moments and her husband's strength to remain steadfast in the face of challenges, adding: "Today I cry with joy that the truth was told. Ahead of us is only light together, stronger than ever."
The rapper's defense was led by renowned lawyer Kujtim Kërveshi, to whom the late Arlind Gjikolli - Gjikla had entrusted his defense.
