While the war in the Middle East has been going on for more than a month, in Dubai public life continues with a sense of normality, illustrated by the organization of the "Barkfest" dog festival in early April.

According to descriptions from the scene, the beach was packed with attendees and pets dressed in unique costumes – from Chow-Chows in Hermès scarves to Huskies in pink ski masks and Chihuahuas in sombreros. The dogs played on the beach, took part in parades and posed for photos, while their owners frequented stands selling accessories and food.

" Everything is going well at the moment ," said a 27-year-old British woman, who attended the festival with one of her French bulldogs.

However, this normality is also supported by strong security and information control measures. Authorities in the United Arab Emirates have managed to intercept most of the 2,191 drones and 531 missiles launched by Iran since the end of February, according to official data. Despite this, missile debris has caused casualties, with at least 10 people killed.

In an effort to maintain public stability, authorities have restricted the distribution of information on social media. Dubai Police have warned that publishing images or spreading "rumors" about the incidents is considered a criminal offense, punishable by fines and imprisonment.

“'Think carefully before you share,' police warn, stressing that spreading unconfirmed information could harm public safety.”

Officially, the incidents are described as "noise" from successful interventions, rather than explosions, reflecting an attempt to control public perception.

Meanwhile, some residents express confidence in the country's security. "It's very safe here, more so than in London," said a 35-year-old woman living in Dubai, adding that she is pleased that such activities continue.
