After releasing his new song with messages related to the recent developments and protests in the country, where he appears very affected by the situation, singer Luiz Ejlli has faced criticism on social media, where his public stance has been called into question.
Among the reactions that have received the most attention is that of Dea Vieri, who ironically commented on the artist's absence from the protests taking place in Tirana.
She refers to a previous statement by Ejll, where he emphasized that everyone has their own way of expressing protest through art, including music.
"I saw a video of Luiz Ejllit, who had released his new song and said that everything has its own way of protesting. Ok, Luiz, you are an artist and you will make songs. Why didn't you come to sing this song in the square, brother? I don't understand. Or do YouTube views turn into monetary values?" she said.
Her reaction has been interpreted online as a criticism of the way artists publicly respond to social issues, raising debate about the boundary between art, activism, and profiting from digital content.
The debate comes at a time when protests and citizen reactions in Tirana have received increased attention, while well-known public figures have also expressed different positions through their platforms.
