The Resident of Rrjoll

A resident of Rrjoll, participating in the protest held in front of the Prime Minister's Office, responded to Prime Minister Edi Rama's statements regarding Albania's European integration process.

During her speech, she rejected the idea that the country's journey towards the European Union depends on a single person, emphasizing that there are many individuals in Albania capable of leading the integration process.

The citizen referred to a statement by the Prime Minister, according to which he had asked who would lead Albania into the European Union if he were no longer at the helm of the government.

"The Prime Minister said; if I leave, who will take you to the EU? I see that we have many individuals who can lead us towards the EU. We have even gone to the EU earlier. Some have joined us, some are on their way," she said.

According to the resident of Rrjoll, European integration should not be linked to the figure of a single individual, but to the capacities, institutions and potential that the country has to meet the standards required by the European Union.

Citizen reports property theft

On Dëshmorët e Kombit Boulevard, several thousand citizens are protesting against the political class in the country, while calling on Edi Rama to resign as Prime Minister. This is the 20th day of the civic protest, while the cry that has become its symbol is “Rama in prison, Berisha in prison”.

Various citizens are addressing the protesters with messages. In this context, a citizen, taking the microphone, directly accused the family of former Prime Minister Sali Berisha of the seizure of properties in Divjaka, where she claims her family's lands were also located.

She also said that she had a brother who was politically persecuted by the communist regime, adding that the persecuted have not benefited from anything during the years of democracy.

"I come from Italy, from Emiglia Romana, from Piacenza. I have been suing for 35 years for my properties. I couldn't get them, because Argita Berisha and the Berisha family took Divjaka.

"We are not compensated. They have 63 hectares. Where will the youth behind live? My brother has spent 10 years in prison as an enemy of the people. When the end comes, we, the persecuted, will not gain anything. Long live the wonderful people," she said.

Rama faces protesters

Thousands of citizens have been protesting in Tirana for 20 days, in one of the largest protests organized by political parties, and have announced 5 demands, one of which is the cancellation of the Mountains Package. But it seems that the protests have not bothered Prime Minister Edi Rama, who is being asked to resign.

In response to the protesters, the Government today approved new priority zones for the development of the mountain economy in four municipalities of the country. The decisions affect territories in Devoll, Kolonjë, Malësi e Madhe and Patos, with the aim of promoting economic, industrial and tourist investments.

According to the approved decisions, the designated areas will serve for the development of economic, industrial and tourist activities, with the aim of promoting investment and sustainable development of the territories involved.

Two priority zones have been declared in the Devoll Municipality, which include a total of 29 villages in the administrative units of Miras, Hoçisht, Progër and Qendër Bilisht. The total area of these zones amounts to over 17 thousand hectares.

Seven priority areas for the development of the mountain economy have been declared in the Municipality of Kolonjë. The areas extend across several administrative units, including Qendër Leskovik, Barmash, Qendër Ersekë, Mollas and Çlirim, including dozens of villages in the area. The total area of these territories exceeds 9 thousand hectares.

Meanwhile, the Municipality of Malësi e Madhe benefits from the largest number of declared areas, with ten priority areas extending across the administrative units of Kastrat, Kelmend, Shkrel, Gruemirë, Qendër and Koplik. The area that includes Vermosh, Lëpusha, Vukli, Nikçi and Boga alone has an area of over 29 thousand hectares. In total, the area of declared areas in this municipality reaches over 51 thousand hectares.

The Municipality of Patos is also included in this package, where five priority areas have been declared in the villages of Kuqar, Drenie, Gjynaqarë, Ruzhdie and Siqecë. The total area of these areas is around 2,800 hectares.

According to government decisions, the borders, territorial extent, and entry and exit points for each zone will be determined on the relevant maps of the KRGJSH system, which are attached to the acts.

The Ministry of Economy and Innovation, the State Cadastre Agency and the relevant municipalities have been tasked with implementing these decisions.

The Resident of Rrjoll

A resident of Rrjoll joined the protest held this evening in front of the Prime Minister's Office, where he delivered an emotional speech with critical tones towards the government.

Speaking to the protesters, he said that he was not coming as a representative of any institution or organization, but as a citizen who experiences every day the consequences of decisions that, according to him, are made without listening to the voices of local communities.

"I am not speaking to you as a diplomat, or as an embassy head, but I live in a country where it is said; why shouldn't we take opinions from others. We live the wounds every day. War has been declared against us by our brothers who govern."
The resident of Rrjoll also touched on the disappointment that, according to him, many citizens have experienced over the years, stating that expectations for change after the fall of the communist regime have not been met.

We were seriously mistaken, because we thought that the barbed wire system was gone. I address every Albanian, my protests are from the '90s until today. I am hit every day, because I have been harmed. We have cried a lot, we continue to do so," he said.

Following his speech, he thanked the young people for participating in the protest, describing them as the hope of the country and a key factor for the change demanded by the protesters.

A significant part of his statement was devoted to the relationship between protesters and law enforcement. He accused political leaders of creating divisions between citizens and the police, fueling unnecessary tensions.

"We would have knocked them down with our hands, but they brought the excavators"/ Protester: They removed the fence in Kakome out of fear!

The removal of the fence installed in the Kakomesë area has become one of the main topics of the 20th citizens' protest against the government, which is taking place this evening in Tirana. From the protest podium, one of the participants stated that the authorities' withdrawal came as a result of pressure exerted by citizens and warnings of a mobilization on the ground in the coming days.

In his speech to the protesters, he recalled that just a few days ago a call had been made for a gathering in Kakome, as according to him, citizens had requested help with the situation created by the installation of fences in the area.

"The day before yesterday we made a call to go to Kakome on Sunday because they have put up fences and the citizens have asked us for help. The authorities listened to us and went and removed the fence that we were going to tear down by hand and today they tore it down with an excavator. They are afraid," said the protester.

His statement was met with applause and cheers from those present, who considered the removal of the fence as a reaction by the institutions to public pressure.

According to the protester, the authorities' action shows that the voice of citizens can influence decision-making, while he argued that continued mobilization is the only way to achieve the results sought by protest participants.

"They brought the bulldozers, but we will win all the battles one by one until we overthrow the government and the prime minister. Resign!" he declared to cheers from the crowd.

The protester's speech was accompanied by calls against the government and demands for the removal of Prime Minister Edi Rama, a demand that has been repeatedly repeated during recent protests.

Minute by minute/ The protest against the government does not stop, thousands of

A citizen, a resident of the Astir area, from the protest being held in front of the Prime Minister's Office claimed that this gathering has not been seen in 35 years.

He stated that this political caste had the opportunity to do many things for the country, but chose not to do them. He added that hope remains with the youth, who, according to him, should be the ones to replace Rama as Prime Minister.

"This protest has not happened for 35 years. This policy has had the opportunity to fix many things. I am a resident of Astir, it drove us away from our homes. For the new ring road, the Big Ring Road has been divided into lots, where the soldiers of this past are. I thank this youth from the bottom of my heart. This is not a protest against taking power, but against theft. It is not directed by stealing. We must react for the future. You must come here, you are educated, not these crows!", said the resident of Astir.
