The early parliamentary elections on June 7 will constitute a special event for thousands of young people in Kosovo, who will exercise their right to vote for the first time.

According to data from the Central Election Commission (CEC), 16,934 citizens who have reached the age of 18 after the parliamentary elections of December 28, 2025 will vote for the first time.

The preliminary voter list for the June 7 elections includes a total of 2,092,174 voters. In total, the number of citizens who will participate in an electoral process for the first time reaches 22,131.

Of these, 16,933 are young people who have reached the age of majority after the last parliamentary elections, while 5,198 people have registered for the first time in the Central Civil Registry or have regained Kosovo citizenship.

According to statistics, out of 16,934 new voters, 8,752 are male, representing 51.68 percent of the total, while 8,182 are female, or 48.31 percent.

The participation of these young voters is considered an important factor in strengthening the democratic process and involving the younger generation in political decision-making in Kosovo.
