The trial for the murder of Liridona Ademaj is approaching its final phase, while the court has set April 17th as the date for the presentation of closing arguments against the accused.
After each hearing, shocking information has emerged from the incident. After the saga that the main accused in planning the murder, Naim Murseli, had mental health problems, which was refuted by the expertise, the other accused have come out against him.
At this Friday's hearing, Kushtrim Kokalla declared before the black squads that he had no role in organizing the murder and denied that he mediated between the other defendants in this case.
He said that the contacts and meetings with the other defendants were unrelated to the criminal offense for which he is charged, emphasizing that he was not part of any agreement to commit the murder.
Kokalla stated that the police had called him to surrender to the police station in Gjakova where he was interviewed for 30 minutes.
He confirmed that he had had conversations with investigators before the official interview, who, according to him, accused him of being the main suspect in this murder.
According to Kokalla, he had met the defendants, but not in circumstances related to the criminal offense.
The purpose of his association with Naim Murseli was a loan of 25 thousand euros that Kokalla had taken out for Murseli and at the latter's request, while his acquaintance with Plava was also pointed to by Murseli, who had given him the contact numbers.
According to the indictment, Naim Murseli asked Kushtrim Kokalla to find a way to kill Liridona Ademaj and he refused, but contrary to his statements, the prosecution claims that it was Kushtrim who found the second defendant, Granit Plava, as the person who ultimately fired the gun on November 29, 2023, in exchange for 30 thousand euros.
