The Socialist Party MP for the Vlora region, Aridt Bido, has spoken about the opposition's accusations of a forged document.
Flamur Noka and Sali Berisha have accused him of falsifying documents while he was heading the General Directorate of Archives. The SP MP has considered these attacks as part of a smear campaign without any factual basis.
"Sali Berisha and Flamur Noka are waging a smear campaign with political goals. This type of political communication should receive funding and I hope for a change in political ethics starting in September 2025," Bido told "News 24".
According to him, Albanian citizens want different politics, avoiding unfounded personal attacks.
"Unfortunately, the opposition has not understood and that is why the opposition is in this situation. The opposition continues to make baseless accusations. The attack by Berisha or Flamur Noka later on me is such a case. It is part of the mudslinging, it is part of the politics of throwing mud everywhere.
"I have been running the archives for nine years and they are insinuating a document that has been digitized since 2001, when I was 14 years old, when the prime minister in this country was an ally of theirs. The slander and mudslinging is very obvious. Albanian politics is accustomed to the idea that if you slander and slander, something will remain," he said.
