Clashes over Albanian immigrants in Britain, Farage accepts Rama's

British MP Nigel Farage has accepted Prime Minister Rama's challenge regarding immigrants sentenced in the United Kingdom.

"We will make sure that Edi Rama keeps his word ," Farage told The Telegraph.

British politician Nigel Farage harshly attacked Albania and the head of government, Rama, and stated that: "the Albanian prime minister mocks us about Brexit and says that Britain is in a dark place, looking for places to dump immigrants."

According to Farage, Rama claims that much of what we say after Brexit is 'completely unacceptable, ridiculous and shameful'.

Then he added in ultimatum tones: "Let me tell you something, Mr. Rama: do you know that one in 50 Albanians in Britain are in prison? So show some goodwill and take them all back tomorrow, because this is hypocrisy."

This statement did not go unanswered. In an immediate and ironic reaction, Edi Rama stated that Farage's claim is not a fact and that this is a typical tactic from the post-Brexit playbook "If it sounds scary, then it must be true."

Rama addresses the MP, saying: " If your 'one in 50' claim stands — I personally commit to taking them all back. This is not a competitive title, it is a public promise. But if that scary statistic turns out to be just tabloid fuel, I apologize. No drama. Instead, you will come to Albania — as my guest of honor."

Two days ago, Prime Minister Rama, in an interview with "The Guardian", criticized the English effort to find a place for immigrants, while Rama has rejected several requests from English Prime Minister Starmer, and earlier also from Rishi Sunak, to open refugee camps in Albania, similar to Italy.
