Evi Kokalari, the Albanian-American activist who has gone from being a supporter of Sali Berisha to an opponent of his, occasionally makes a stinging post on social media. After the May 11 elections, Kokalari has called for Berisha's removal as leader of the Democratic Party, even accusing the democratic leader of keeping Edi Rama in power by holding this position. Kokalari occasionally accuses Berisha of bargaining with Rama, while recently she seems to be taking the pulse of the race for the leadership of the Democratic Party.
"Did Berisha resign and if so, when is the race for the presidency of the Democratic Party of Kosovo? Please inform me!!" is the latest post by activist Evi Kokalari.
On more than a few occasions, Kokalari has said that he may enter a race for the leadership of the Democratic Party, which he says is not a conservative party, as those who are currently at the head of the largest opposition party are trying to remove.
