The head of the DP Parliamentary Group, Gazment Bardhi, has reacted after the TNT explosion at the house of MP Xhelal Mziu.
He described it as a terrorist act and demanded that security agencies immediately investigate the incident and identify the perpetrators.
Bardhi stressed that so far the State Police has only issued a notification without sufficient information and described this delay as unacceptable. The Democrat expressed support for MP Mziu and his family, demanding a swift and thorough investigation.
"I strongly condemn the terrorist act of attacking colleague Xhelal Mziu with explosives. Such criminal acts against a deputy are unthinkable in a democratic society and should have alerted the responsible security bodies. Up to this moment, the State Police, apart from a meaningless announcement, has not provided any information on the actions taken to uncover the causes of the incident and its possible perpetrators.
"Each of us, colleagues in the Democratic Party Parliamentary Group, stands with MP Mziu and his family, and we urgently appeal to the responsible institutions to immediately clarify the incident and hold the perpetrators of this ugly crime accountable. Any unjustified delay would be unacceptable for us ," said Bardhi.
