Prime Minister Edi Rama has reacted on social media, ironically and harshly attacking the participants in the 29-day protest against his government, whom he has described as "flag bearers" of a narrative that, according to him, is disguised as "New Albania".
Edviol Kulluri is one of the 13 initiators who signed the letter addressed to embassies regarding their 5 demands for the government.
Kulluri is the drafter of the digital platform for a 'National Assembly' with 150 members. Alongside him, the idea is put forward for another, larger Assembly together with the diaspora that will number around 300 members. The selection criteria are still unclear, while one of the conditions is the acceptance in principle of the formation of ethnic Albania.
In a long post with strong ironic tones, Rama has also published a long list of criminal proceedings against one of his people, presenting it as an example of what he calls "contribution to the homeland."
According to the published list, Edviol Kulluri in question has been prosecuted over the years for several different criminal offenses, including assault, electricity theft, intimidation, participation in illegal protests, obstruction of the work of institutions, and domestic violence.
In his reaction, Rama accompanied the post with ironic language and strong metaphors, calling the protesters part of a distorted political and social narrative.

- 2021 – Threatening a female citizen, Vlorë
- 2022 – Domestic violence against his uncle, Vlorë" , writes Rama.
