The Democratic Party membership in Lushnja headed to the ballot boxes this Saturday to elect the new leader of the local branch.
The electoral process began at 08:00 and will continue until 18:00, when voting is expected to close and the counting of ballots will begin.
Two candidates are competing in the race for the head of the DP branch in Lushnja, Gentian Çela and Julian Meço, who aim to take over the leadership of the local party structure.
According to reports from the polling station, the process is taking place normally and without incidents, in a climate of cooperation among democratic members.
The elections are being closely followed by Democratic Party MP Sajmir Korreshi, who was present during the process. The final result is expected to be made public after the closing of voting and the completion of the counting during the evening.
