Arben Malaj, one of the leading figures in the Socialist Party for at least two decades, has categorically rejected any kind of evaluation from the current leadership of the Socialists.
Malaj considered the Rama Government as "greedy" and aiming for absolute political power, actions that are killing the future of Albania.
In an interview with Oranews, he emphasized that recent events are simply a photocopy of old methods, similar to the time when those who had founded it were declared "enemies of the party".
"I have publicly stated and declare that I do not receive any appreciation from a current leader who is a representative of a greedy government, for absolute and political power, killing the future of Albania.
So I have my integrity, I respect all those who have supported me since the first day when I was vice president of the Socialist Party in Vlora.
"I'm not surprised by these because they are the same photocopies of the old positions when those who founded the party were declared enemies of the party. But I would never accept it and I would not publicly accept it. So I have no regrets," he said.
