MP Marjana Koçeku has reacted through a post on social media, claiming that for several days she has been the subject of a coordinated campaign of attacks from fake and patronizing profiles. According to her, these profiles are asking her to give up her mandate as MP.
Koçeku says that the attacks began after her decision to break away from the Socialist Party and support the citizens' protest.
She claims that behind this campaign are state officials, who, according to her, organize and direct denigrating attacks on social media against government critics.
The MP says she has no intention of handing over her mandate under pressure and has chosen to remain independent in her representation in the Assembly. In her response, she raises concerns about the use of fake profiles in public debate and describes them as a pressure mechanism against critical voices.
"For several days now, I have been facing a virtual army of patronage-mongers and fake profiles on social media who are asking me to resign."
It is very easy for me to leave my mandate. But I am not used to opening the way for evil, which has also taken the form of these virtual mercenaries, organized by their commanders - functionaries of this state - to smear and denigrate me simply because I chose the independence of representation in parliament.
It is said that there are around 800,000 such profiles circulating. Municipalities have become garrisons for these mercenaries, exerting daily pressure through words in comments and posts.
Never has the word "more" been misused more in the history of democracy in this country. And now, in times of protests, we see their total mobilization to destroy and denigrate anyone who criticizes the government.
I knew that the price of speaking freely would be high, but silence would have cost much more in this republic that seeks to fight its citizens with ghosts, patronizing shadows, and fake profiles.
"This should not be a republic of fakery and online ghosts," she writes.

Po per cfar dinjiteti flisni perse duhet mbajtur mend ka nje vit ne parlament qe vegjeton asnje fjal per bujqesine qe eshte fusha e saj. Rames dhe PS mir tu behet kur zgjedhin palaco te tille. Edhe po e la mandatin gje qe nuk ndodh se nuk ka aq dinjitet ta beje edhe tjeteri qe do vij me mut se kjo do jet.
