After a day filled with meetings, statements and official photos, the European Political Community (EPC) Summit in Tirana officially closed this afternoon. Prime Minister Edi Rama, in a press conference with Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen, described the day as “fruitful” and filled with discussions on “the values and principles that guide our societies.”
Among other things, Rama stated that "we discussed investing more in initiatives... even in those countries that do not yet belong to the EU and that will never belong to it."
The head of the Albanian government emphasized the creation of a "coordination team" of the European Political Community, which will be under the auspices of the President of the European Council, emphasizing the commitment to more structured coordination between participating countries.
" To hold together the values and principles that guide our societies, to do everything we can to protect our values and principles embodied in our societies, protecting our countries, our citizens and our future. Meanwhile, we also discussed how we will move forward. We discussed investing more in initiatives, in those European campaigns that belong to this political community and in those countries that do not yet belong to the EU and that will never belong to it. The day has been fruitful, we had a series of round tables, a series of discussion topics. We had very interesting conclusions that will be taken further by the Danes. Meanwhile, we decided that we will have a coordinating team of the EPC under the auspices of the office of the President of the European Council. This is a general synthesis of what we did today ", said Rama, among other things, in his speech.
