The opposition is in turmoil after the defeat/ MPs and militants forget Rama,

Shameful scenes at the DP protest

The election defeat seems to have angered the DP MPs and militants. They gathered today in a protest against what they call vote theft, but instead of protesting against Rama, they took revenge on journalists.

The first was the Democratic MP Edi Paloka who clashed with journalist Esido Barkaj. Then Euronews journalist Sara Demushi intervened, but Paloka asked him not to interview her, and even asked her to remove the camera. After him, Aldo Bumçi reacted in a similar way, saying that he was not asked if he wanted to talk to Euronews Albania, so he refused to speak.

After their reactions, the situation became tense and some protest participants attempted to block the view of Euronews Albania's camera, and even insulted the journalist who approached them to understand and make their concerns public.

Then other journalists intervened, while Klevis Balliu also attacked, there was even physical tension. There was also a clash between journalist Daniela Maloku and Edi Paloka and his loyalists.

This has led to an embarrassing scene, as journalists and cameramen have felt intimidated. Let's not forget Mul Noka, who exploded into attacks and accusations against the media, even using vulgar terms.

" For all of you who receive instructions from Fuga, I have an answer: The Statute has been implemented and will be implemented by the Democratic Party with the utmost precision. The moment there are free elections in Albania, everyone within us will be held accountable ," said Noka.

After such scenes, the head of the press office, Alfred Lela, intervened, who "caught the ear" of the deputies, that journalists have the right to ask everything, but even this did not stop him. Many journalists and cameramen were left by the representatives of the Democratic Party to face the crowds, where dozens of people demanded an account of why they were asking questions and why they did not see the facts of vote theft.

The Albanian Journalists Association (AGSH) immediately reacted to these incidents, condemning the attacks on media representatives and calling on the leaders of the Democratic Party to immediately stop these actions.

" The Journalists' Association of Albania urgently calls on Democratic Party officials to immediately stop attacks on journalists at the opposition protest ," the official response states.
