Already drawn away from that dream, Edi Rama is continuing the role of "Global Leader" within Albania, making entirely personal resolutions and decisions in support of Donald Trump's policies, as the only chance to reopen the door to the White House.
On April 10, 2026, just 3 days after Donald Trump reiterated that the US has a new negotiation project to end Russia's war in Ukraine, Edi Rama approved a government decision for Ukrainian citizens who are and want to come to Albania.
With this decision, which approves visa-free entry and residence without a permit and treatment of Ukrainians in the territory of our country, it is impressive that their permits expire on March 30, 2027, as if "Global Leader" Edi Rama has predicted the end of the war in Ukraine.
The government decision states that Ukrainian citizens are allowed to enter the territory of Albania without visas, and along with those who are in our country, they will remain without a permit until March 30, 2027.
He has repealed Decision No. 169, dated March 18, 2022, which he took without parliamentary approval, as a personal move to gain personal credit in the White House.
Edi Rama did the same thing regarding visa-free entry and the length of stay in Albania without a permit with Decision No. 124, dated March 6, 2024, but now he has foreseen that the war in Ukraine will end in 1 year.
